Communication points around Naha

Tourist information and concept - why we chose this location

Concept of this site

Propose communication points in Okinawa to help people better understand Okinawa.

Reasons for choosing this theme

We thought that even people in Okinawa might not know much about Okinawa, and we felt that we could gain a deeper understanding of Okinawa by applying the Civic Pride communication points to our search.

Relevance to tourism information

Kokusai-dori" continues for about 1.6km from the prefectural office north exit intersection (Palette Kumoji-mae intersection) in Naha City to Asato Sansaro. It is the busiest street in Okinawa Prefecture and the largest downtown area in Naha City. Many tourists from outside the prefecture still visit "Kokusai-dori," which is the cultural center of the commercial area along with Okiei-dori and Machiguwa shopping street. There are monorails and fixed-route buses in the surrounding area, making it easy to access.

Research Methods - Methods of Collecting Materials

The nine elements described in "Civic Pride" were divided into six categories, and each individual collected articles, tourism journals, and other sources.
