視覚のリンケージ

視覚のリンケージとしては、沖縄のランドマーク的でかつ代表的な存在である。守礼之門を紹介します。

守礼（しゅれい）とは「礼節を守る」という意味で、門に掲げられています。扁額(へんがく)には「守礼之邦(しゅれいのくに)」 と書かれており、「琉球は礼節を重んずる国である」という意味で、首里城は石垣と城門の多い城であるが、中でもデザイン上バランスがとれ、エレガントな雰囲気のある 代表的な門がこの「守礼門」です。中国風の牌楼(ぱいろう)という形式で建立されているのが特徴となります。
そして、1527～55年（第二尚氏4代目尚清王(代）にはじめて建立され、1933年（昭和8）に国宝に指定されたのですが、残念ながら沖縄戦で破壊されてしまいました。 現在の門は1958年（昭和33）に復元されたものです。その後、今日まで沖縄を象徴する観光施設として利用されています。また、2000年沖縄サミット開催の記念として、 紙幣2,000円札の絵柄にもなっているのも特徴です。そして首里城では、守礼の門だけでなく、視覚の要素を持ったリンケージが多く見られます。それらを踏まえ、守礼の門は 首里城における視覚のリンケージのひとつであり、沖縄全体のランドマーク的要素を含んだ視覚のリンケージと言えます。

Shurei" means "to observe civility" and is displayed on the gate. Shureimon
is a typical gate with a well-balanced design and elegant atmosphere among the many stone walls and gates of Shuri Castle.
It is characterized by its Chinese-style "pairo" style of construction. It was first built in 1527-55 (during the reign of
the 4th Sho Cheong King of the 2nd Sho dynasty) and designated as a national treasure in 1933, but was unfortunately destroyed
during the Battle of Okinawa. Unfortunately, it was destroyed during the Battle of Okinawa. The current gate was restored
in 1958. Since then, it has been used as a tourist facility symbolizing Okinawa to this day. It is also the motif on the
2,000-yen bill, which was issued to commemorate the 2000 Okinawa Summit. And in Shuri Castle, there are many linkages with
visual elements as well as the Guri no Mon. Based on these, it can be said that the Gurei no Mon is one of the visual linkages
in Shuri Castle, a visual linkage that includes landmark elements for Okinawa as a whole.

構造物のリンケージ

構造物のリンケージを紹介します。

首里城公園では、すべての構造物に対して、沖縄で産出される琉球石灰岩と琉球トラバーチン（大理石）が利用され、屋根には赤瓦をはり、実に琉球の歴史と 文化そして、風土に調和した構造設計になっている。特に首里城城郭の中に入る最初の入口となる歓会門は、アーチ型門となっており、中国本土の影響をうけた 痕跡が残る。国内でもこのようなアーチ型の門を持つ城門は、首里城だけとなる。また歓会とは、歓迎すると言う意味合いを持ち、当時中国の皇帝の使者である 冊封使（さっぷうし）の使者や、徳川幕府や島津家の使者の方々を歓迎すると言う意味をこめて、この名前が付けられたと言う。この様なアーチ門は首里城では この歓会門(かんかい)・久慶門(きゅうけい)・世継門(けいせい)の３カ所がある。その他城内では、調和のとれた広場や休憩所も設置され、 観光客だけでなく市民にも開放された休憩施設などが充実していることから、構造物のリンケージとさせて頂きました。このように首里城は、地域の方々も気軽に よく利用されている開放された場所であると言えます。

The structural design is in harmony with the history, culture, and climate of the Ryukyu Islands. In particular, the first entrance to
Shurijo Castle is an arched gateway. The arched gateway, which is the first entrance into the castle, shows traces of mainland Chinese
influence. Shuri Castle is the only castle gate with such an arched gate in Japan. The word "welcome" means "to welcome" or "
to welcome". It is said that the name was given to welcome the envoys of the Chinese emperors of the time, the Sakufuji, Tokugawa,
and Shimazu. It is said to have been given this name to welcome the envoys of the Chinese emperors, the Tokugawa and Shimazu.
There are three such archways in Shuri Castle: Kankaimon, Kyukeimon, and Keiseimon. The other gates in the castle are the Kankai-

also to the general public. It can be said that The space is open to the public and is often used by local residents in the mornings
and evenings.
