Throughout my academic life my scientific interests have mostly been motivated by trying to decipher the mechanism by which biodiversity is generated from an ecological and evolutionary perspective. Across my scientific carrier I has had the chance to work in many different model systems (i.e. tropical forest, temperate forest, coral reefs, rivers and ancient lakes) and learn multiple techniques (field-work, wetlab and informatics), which allows me to formulate multidisciplinary solution to other ways difficult to answer questions in the field of biodiversity and evolution.
